The five licenses, five species New Mexico Big Game Enhancement Package will be at the Wild Sheep Foundation Convention for the third time. This package includes state-wide licenses for Pronghorn, Elk, Deer (Mule deer or Coues White-tail), Persian (Bezoar) Ibex, and Gemsbok Oryx. All have extended seasons and any weapon may be used. The SCI World Record Persian ibex (non-native range) is from New Mexico and the Florida Mountains consistently produce world class billies. A 2011 Pronghorn taken in New Mexico in the new #2 SCI and officially scored 94 2/8 B&C. New Mexico Ts Rio Arriba county has more mule deer in the Boone and Crockett record book than any county in the United States. New Mexico elk hunting is world renowned and produces 400-class bulls annually. As authorized by state law, the New Mexico Big Game Enhancement Program will receive 90% of the proceeds for projects to benefit big game habitat enhancement, conservation, and protection with 10% of the proceeds retained by the Wild Sheep Foundation. Anyone, including previous special permit holders, may submit a bid to obtain the 2014 New Mexico Big Game Enhancement Package unless their hunting privileges have been revoked. The permits may be transferred by the successful bidder to an individual qualified to hunt. The successful bidder on this package may hunt all 5 species or barter/ trade/sell any license authorization he or she does not intend to hunt.

A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
