HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 771991. Bbl. 3 1/4". HSc semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser for the German military during WWII. Left side of the slide is marked with the Mauser banner logo, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame features a slot for a lanyard loop and is mounted with a 2-piece checkered wood grip. Slide features a matted sight groove with an integral blade front sight and a dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: Two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Brown leather holster stamped "jhg/ 41" on the closure strap flap. Closure strap is stamped with an Eagle/WaA286 proof. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original high-polish blue finish, exhibiting some areas of mild wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as well as some spots of light surface-level oxidation and pitting. Left side of the frame exhibits an area of light pitting on the forward trigger guard web that appears to have been touched up at one time. Bbl. exhibits scattered spots of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are good, showing scattered marks and small impressions from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some wear, as well as areas of light to mild age-related cracking and crazing, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-6860/MLW). CURIO. $350-550.
