HOLSTER. Cal. 11.25mm (45 ACP). S# 21699 (1919). Standard sidearm of Norway (mfg. 1917–1933) . Matching number "699" on visible most parts except hammer, extractor & recoil spring plug; the 5" barrel & safety lock have a different numeral font. The slide has an early fine blue finished while the frame has a later dull blue-gray finish. Per Charles Clawson's Colt.45 Government Models (Commercial Series) "During the changeover period, pistols numbered from about 1700 to 2300 may display a mismatched finish with blue slide and blue-gray receiver". Frame has "GU INC OMAHA NE" import mark covered by double diamond checkered birch grips. Slide has Monogram of King Haakon above slide markings along with Haakon Finne inspection stamp on each side of slide. MAGS: 1 early two tone 7 rd. mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct brown leather holster with numerous handling marks. CONDITION: good original blue finish on slide with dents, fading finish around muzzle & scattered scratches. Frame has good gray-blue finish showing heavy wear on front strap, grip safety & mainspring housing along with handling marks. Good grips with marks. Good barrel blue with worn bore.
