Auction Details
New Mexico Governors Special Hunt Auction - Legislation passed in 2007 allows the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMDGF) to provide the Governor of New Mexico 12 big-game special hunt authorizations and a combination of 12 game bird and/or trophy fish special authorizations for public auction. Funds from the public auction are to be used solely for NMDGF mission-related projects and programs.
Distinct from the Enhancement Licenses, each Authorization auctioned must correlate to an existing hunt code. All rules, regulations and restrictions associated with that hunt code must be followed with the exception of the dates. These hunts allow the choice of an additional five consecutive days, before or after an existing hunt code’s established dates, to extend the length of the hunt.
This auction is being conducted by the Mule Deer Foundation and we are offering three MDF exclusive items up for bid in this auction. These items will be shipped directly to the winner and/or their FFL of choice. The successful bidder of the Gun of The Year will have the option to have the firearm shipped to an FFL of their choice and must successfully pass a background check to receive the firearm. All proceeds from these three items will directly support the conservation of mule deer, black-tailed deer and their habitats. Payments can be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. A credit card must be on file to bid on any item. If you use a check as payment, payment will need to be received not later than 10 days after auction closes.
**A 3% buyers premium will be added to all auction items paid for with a credit card.
