How Your Day Begins

A typical day begins with a full breakfast, a morning trip into the field to hunt, a relaxing lunch back at the lodge, a mid-afternoon nap, and another afternoon big game hunting experience. Then, enjoy cocktails, wine, appetizers, and dinner with courses inspired by the local Kiwi culture, including fresh venison, chicken, beef, vegetables, and local desserts.

Long Range Goat Shoot

One afternoon, all the hunters in camp will go out for a day of long-range goat shooting. These wild goats are a menace and overpopulated, plus they compete for available food from the game animals. Experience shots from 300 to 900 yards with excellent optics and learn from the pro staff at Avon Valley. Each hunter may shoot up to 10 goats with no trophy fees. This bonus shoot is done as a group and is not available individually.
