Newly discovered Colt U.S. Model Single Action Army revolver in .45 Colt caliber with the barrel reduced to 6” and all matching numbers, Serial #131920. The excellent cartouched grips show a crisp R.A.C. inspection dated 1890. The barrel was shortened and the original front sight was carefully dove tailed into the barrel. The pistol shows 90-95% plus bright original blue and fiery case hardening. The interior is excellent and the bore is bright. The action is working correctly. The barrel is “R.A.C.” marked and proofed. The serial number on barrel matches once ejector rod housing is removed. There is bright blue on the screws. Note: Serial number 131928went to the Cebu Police in the Philippines and is also near Rough Rider and New York militia arms listed in the Kopec and Fenn book. The factory letter states; .45 caliber, barrel not listed, blue finish, stocks not listed, sold to the U.S. Government, delivered to the inspector at the Colt plant, April 30, 1890 with 300 guns in shipment.
