Manufactured in Suhl, Germany in 1942 by Friedrich Wil Helm Kessler. Features 24-3/8" blued Krupp steel barrels with Nazi-Era proof marks, raised matted rib, rifle sights and extractors. 16 gauge side by side barrels over 8x57 JR caliber rifle. Barrels have 2-9/16" chambers with Full and Modified chokes. Splinter forearm with latch release. Full game scene engraved coin finished sidelock action with sideclips. Greener style safety and crossbolt, cocking indicators and top tang rifle selector. Action is controlled by double triggers (front being a set) with a horn trigger guard. Action is engraved with a buck and fox scene on right and Hirsch scene on left with "F.W. Kessler / Suhl" on bottom surrounded by oak leaf pattern. Fine checkered pistol grip walnut stock with right hand cheekpiece, horn butt plate, and grip cap and bow type sling swivel. Equipped with a claw mounted Leupold 1.5-5x Scope. LOP: 13-3/4". CONDITION
Retains 90% original blue with areas of brown patina and some scratches. Action has sharp engraving with dull gray patina. Wood has traces of original finish with checkering starting to wear. Excellent bores and mechanics. Clear optics. Very nice Drilling!
