Outfitters have generously donated the hunts offered in our auction. If you purchase a hunt, you are responsible for contacting the Outfitter to identify yourself as the winning bidder and to clarify the details regarding the Outfitter’s donation. Please consider adding days and/or animals, or bring an additional hunter at the Outfitter's regular price.
Peter and Terry Martin of KapRiver have donated a unique 5-day SEMI-GUIDED hunt for one Black Bear for hunter hosted at their lodge in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Valid for the 2024 or 2025 season depending on availability. Spring hunt is from May 15 - June 15 and Fall hunt is August 15 thru September 10. KapRiver has three huge Bear Management Areas covering over 3500 square kilometers. The average bear is 200-300 lbs. but 400-500 lbs. bruins are possible. Color phase (Cinnamon) bears are also fairly common. Includes: Lodging. Not Included: Required licenses ($250) are available locally upon arrival, required firearm permit, fishing gear and personal flotation devices (PFDs are the responsibility of the attending participants.). Transportation to and from hunting area is the responsibility of the hunters. The winning bidder is encouraged to bring other hunters along to enjoy and share this great experience. The cost per additional hunter is $2000. Non-hunter is $1000. Duck hunting can be added for $500. Trip can be extended for $400 per day. Groups up to 10 can be accommodated. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room where you can DO YOUR OWN COOKING. A well-stocked grocery store is available nearby for your shopping convenience. The closest commercial airport is in Timmins, Ontario (approximately 100 miles from Kapuskasing) where clients can rent a pickup or an SUV. Airport pick up and return $500. Fishing for Northerns and Walleye is available, please make arrangements with the Outfitter. We thank Peter Martin for his generous 100% donation. 1.The auctioneer has the final authority on the amount paid for any item and the identity of the purchaser of any item.
2.DISPUTED BID: If after the auctioneer declares any item 'sold', a contest arises between bidders as to who was the successful bidder, the auctioneer reserves the right to reopen the bidding on the contested item.
3.ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS ON ANY ITEM. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE SATISFACTION OF THE DONOR OR THE BUYER.
4.By making a purchase, the purchaser waives any claim for liability against ACSCI or the donor of any property or service, and neither ACSCI nor the donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the utilization of any property or services sold. If any action or claim is made against ACSCI by an individual, entity, or state, local, federal, foreign or political body for any matter whatsoever arising from the use of the auctioned items, or any actions or parties conducting business with respect to the auctioned items, the donor and/or purchaser will pay ACSCI attorney fees and costs and will hold ACSCI harmless from any judgments thereon.
5.The purchaser is responsible for contacting the Outfitter to identify as the winning bidder of the hunt or trip, and to clarify the details regarding the donation. No back-to-back combination of hunt donations is allowed. Consider adding days and/or animals, or bring an additional hunter at the regular price. Please remember to thank the outfitter for their support of the Adirondack-Catskill Chapter of SCI.
6.ACSCI has exercised reasonable care and prudence in the selection of auction and raffle items, but cannot accept liability for their use or misuse, and makes no warranty as to their suitability, safety or function either expressed or implied. ACSCI cannot be held responsible for typographical errors.
7.If you will be traveling out of the state or country for your hunt, it is your responsibility to learn the rules, regulations and laws of any State or Country where you will be traveling to/from. This includes but is not limited to visas, passports, trophy importation, firearms, medical requirements, and legal restraints to entering/leaving a country. ACSCI is not responsible for any problems you may encounter during your travels. No refund of your purchase will be considered based on your lack of due diligence when planning your trip.
