This is the Osceola hunt of a lifetime for 2 youths during the youth weekend, March 11- 12, 2023
or March 9-10, 2024 and 2 adult guests who will get to tag along with their youth hunter.
Hunt will take place with God’s Country Outfitters located in San Mateo, FL. Hal Shaffer
of Drop Zone TV will be in camp to film the turkey hunts to air on a future episode on the
Outdoor Channel. Each hunter will also be equipped with a hunt package courtesy of some
of Drop Zone’s amazing sponsors. God’s Country has two main goals: #1 to make sure the
client has a wonderful time and #2 for the hunters to harvest an Osceola turkey. They have
had a 100% harvest rate since the inception of this hunt 5 years ago and plan to continue
that success this season! Their 25,500+ acres range from deep swamps, to oak sand hills, to
cow pastures and farm fields. They have all the different types of terrain that Osceola turkeys
love. The guides spend quality time in the woods running trail cameras and scouting for big
Osceola turkeys all year, so they can put you on a bird as fast as possible. It does not matter if
you are a seasoned turkey hunter looking to fill your Grand Slam or a first-time turkey hunter
wanting to try something new;
they are the place for you. On
this hunt the 2 youth hunters
will also have the opportunity
to harvest 1 wild hog each. The
hog hunt will take place prior
to the youth spring turkey
opener. In 2023, you will arrive
in camp March 9 and hunt
hogs March 10. Also included if
time allows is the opportunity
to learn how to effectively and
consistently shoot rifles at
long range! The kids and their
chaperon will get to shoot
custom rifles out to 1,000
yards at a private shooting
range. 2023 hunt dates: Arrive
the afternoon of March 9 and
leave the morning of March
13. Included in this hunt: All
meals, lodging, transportation
during the hunt and as much
Florida hospitality as you like!
We look forward to hunting
with you this spring.
