Made in Germany by Otto Bennewitz, circa 1910. 27-1/4" maker marked blued Krupp steel barrels with ventilated rib, rifle sights, extractors, and 16 by 16 gauge barrels over 9.3x72R rifle. Round game scene engraved case-hardened underlever action with exposed hammers, and double triggers (front is set). Action and lock plate are engraved with deer, rabbit, and bird scenes. Rifle has top lever barrel selector and underlever opener. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with engraved steel bullet trap and horn butt plate. Matching checkered splinter forearm with latch release. LOP: 13-1/4". DAC: 1-1/4". DAH: 2-1/4". CALIBER: 16x16/9.3x72R. S/N: 4214. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Overall 90% of an old barrel reblue remains with edge wear and some usage scratches. Action has faded to a silvery patina. Wood has traces of finish with scratches and dings with a toe wound. Good bores and mechanics with set trigger out of adjustment.
