#NSNV. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 24” octagon barrel. The Porter is a rare, American made revolving rifle with a total production of approximately 1250 circa 1851. This 2nd model has all brown metal surfaces, held nine shots with a mule ear side hammer and is missing the turret cover. The action functions at the time of description. The 2nd model production is estimated at 350-400 rifles. The smooth wood butt stock shows heavy wear with dents and compressions. The butt ends with a smooth, steel crescent butt plate which is proud at the toe. (Antique). Est.: $3,000-$6,000.

Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
