1) LARGE BRASS LOCK FLINTLOCK PISTOL. Cal. 69. NSN. Bbl. 9 1/5" oct. to rnd. 15 1/2" Overall. Brass lock & brass mounted. CONDITION: fair to good. Appears complete original flintlock, patinaed metal. Mechanics need attention, mainspring weak though frizzen spring is strong & frizzen functions. Clear, rusted bore. Consignor states that well known expert Dan Cullity once proclaimed that this was "one of the earliest American made pistols that he had encountered."
2) ENGLISH BOXLOCK FLINT PISTOL. Cal. 42. NSN. Bbl. 2 1/2" screw. 7 1/2" Overall. Frame marked “THOMAS”, incised carved bag grips. CONDITION: poor to fair, iron patina, missing cock, butt cap & escutcheon. Consignor states that this pistol was found in the basement of a house adjacent to the battle bridge in Concord, Mass. (01-19838/JS/MGM). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,400.
