Pair of mid-19th century percussion Dueling/Target pistols with fined carved ebony stocks, blue and case hardened finishes, in original French style case with accessories. The pistol is 17 ¼” in overalllength with a 10 ½” octagon barrel of approximately .42-44 caliber rifled. Unsigned with Belgian proofed barrels, near fine condition with 80-90% plus original blue and case hardened finishes aging naturally. The stocks are beautifully carved and near fine. The case is lined in purple velveteen and very good plus with slight aging and imperfections. The actions work well and the accessories are proper to the set (extranipples and key in cap tin box). Est.: $4,000-$8,000.
