31.5" spearpoint blade with near full-length fuller. Blade with fire blue and gilt finish. Engraved with wreaths and panoplies of arms. Marked in script " Solingen" on obverse forte with " P. Knecht" on reverse. Court-style hilt with clamshell guard depicting Mexican eagle flanked by cornucopias. Reeded wood grip with baroque-style guard, pommel depicting a bust in classical armor with phrygian cap. Brass guard with chased details. **Good condition overall. Some oxidation to blade with attractive bluing and gilt remaining on blade. Some tarnishing to brass and verdigris in low areas.
