Made by William Ford of 15 St. Mary's Row, Birmingham, England in 1905. 26" blued Nitro proofed fluid steel barrels, originally with 2-1/2" chambers. Gun was imported by Griffin & Howe of Andover, New Jersey, where it was re-proofed and the chambers lengthened to 70 m/m. Barrels have smooth maker marked rib with bead front sight, extractors and floral engraved pattern around bores and floral pattern on rib. Case-hardened vignette engraved boxlock hammerless action with double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered English grip stock with serrated wood butt and silver oval vanity plate. Matching walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release and ebony tip. Gun is a dream to handle weighing a mere 4 lbs 2 oz. Comes in maker's label canvas and wood period trunk case. CONDITION
Overall 90% plus with barrels having 95% of an old re-blue. 90% fading case colors, worn in handling areas. Action plate blue starting to wear silver. Wood has traces of finish with dings and marks with checkering starting to flatten. Good bores and mechanics. Case in poor condition.
