With 30 plus years of outfitting experience, Mike and Dixie Hammett of Sikanni River Outfitters are proud to offer you a first class hunting adventure. The plains bison in this area are eligible for entry into the Boone & Crockett Record Book. This 1:1 free-range bison hunt in the Sikanni River Valley in northeastern BC is the ultimate winter hunting experience and has a historical success rate of 90%. If you chose to take this trip in October, you will be upgrade this trip to include a moose for trophy fee. Moose in the Hammetts’ territory are in the 45 to 60 inches range.
Depending on the dates you chose, you will hunt from horseback, ATV or snowmobile. You can bring a bison hunting friend along for market value, or a non-hunting companion for $250 US per day plus transportation. Licences, tags, HPF and a $250 transportation fee from Fort St. John are extra.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
