Pocket size gold scale with Japanned tin case to look like tortoise shell. Small early scale with string and two weights only. Along with note which reads “Jan. 1858 This scale was presented to Ester Henderson as a mark of respect (having been in the family upwards of one hundred years) by Mr. James Wise. They belonged to William Penney her great, great, Grandfather for the purpose of weighing his gold hoping that Esther Henderson may never be without having use for them for the same purpose. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
