Made in Suhl, Germany by Christopher Funk in 1924. 28" blued Krupp steel barrels with matted maker marked rib, rifle sights, ejectors, and Nitro Proofs. Barrels are 12 gauge side by side with 2-1/2" chambers, and Full and Full chokes over 7x57R caliber rifle. Case-hardened floral and game scene engraved scalloped action with side clips, double triggers (front is set), Greener cross bolt and side safety, and top tang barrel selector. Action has floral raybuck scene engraved on right and floral scene on bottom with "MFRD For Baker & Kimball", which is a Boston, Massachusetts Sporting Goods Dealer. The left side has floral scene and bugling hirsch scene. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with horn butt plate and grip cap with diamond inlay behind locks. Matching walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. LOP: 14-1/4". DAC: 1-1/4". DAH: 2-1/4". CALIBER: 12/7x57R. S/N: 35831. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Overall 90% fading barrel blue with some edge and handling wear. 80% fading case colors with wear on carry areas. Wood has traces of varnish with flaking near butt. Butt plate has usual worm holes. Good bores and mechanics.
