*Prewar Winchester Model 70 bolt action rifle, 30/06 cal., serial #17522. The rifle is in overall very good condition with a 24” blued barrel with a ramp front sight and rear sight removed. The barrel retains approximately 70% of the original blue with slight surface erosion, scrapes and a loss of finish near the barrel address. The receiver retains nearly all of its blued finish with only edge wear on the magazine base. The checkered wood stock is in very good condition with small mars and losses of finish consistent with field use. The rifle includes sling swivels, leather sling and checkered steel butt plate. The bore is very good; action crisp and all markings are sharp on this Model 70 manufactured in 1938. The rifle is topped by a Redfield one piece mount with a Pine Ridge 3 x 9 x 40 variable power scopes. Est.: $600-$1,200.
