R.W. Wilson Texas Ranger Commemorative Engraved Tomahawk #6 and Bowie Knife Set
Made in 1973 for the 150th Anniversary of the Texas Rangers, includes certificate stating this is number 6 of 500 made and signed by R.W. Wilson himself. Set includes a beautiful tomahawk with 14" tiger striped handle accented with bronze Texas Ranger Star medallions and studs. Tomahawk head is approximately 7-3/4" in length and 3" wide at the blade. Engraved on both sides with floral relief and round Texas Rangers star with 1823-1973 date. Matching clip-point bowie knife with 9-1/2" blade with scroll and punch dot engraving on right side. Features a brass double sided hilt and matching tiger striped wood handles. 14" overall length. This set comes in the original wood presentation case with red velvet lining. Top of the case is in engraved with the matching Texas Rangers star "STATE OF TEXAS / TEXAS RANGER COMMEMORATIVE COMMISSION". Includes correspondence from R.W. Wilson and owner, as well as original receipt dated 1973.
CONDITION
Retains 95% original finish, showing only light handling marks on the metal and wood finishes. The case does show a tear in the lining at the tip of the knife, and dings and scratches on the outside of the case.
