MILITARY REVOLVER. Cal. .380 (38 S&W). S# D788; all visible numbers match. Bbl. 5". Frame is marked on the right side above the trigger "R.A.F" indicating Royal Air Force property; the frame is additionally marked behind the trigger guard "ENFIELD NO 2 (crown) MK1 1934"; additionally marked with "BNP" proof. Bbl. is marked on top "CAL. 38."; bbl. is marked on the left side with "(crown) BNP" proof and ".38-767' 3 1/2 TONS". Balance of the pistol is stamped with numerous view and proof marks. Some markings are enhanced with white. Six-shot cyl. Fixed sights. Single and double action lock work. Checkered walnut grips; left grip is marked with a broad arrow at the top. Lanyard ring in the butt. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gray canvas holster with brass snap; holster is marked "AGCRAFT LTD 1944"; holster is equipped with British attachment hooks. Padded black plastic case. CONDITION: revolver retains 75% of its lightly worn dull wartime blue, with small scattered spots of light oxidation. Grips have moderate wear and staining, with flattening of the diamonds. Very good, shiny bore with sharp lands. (24-6767/RW). CURIO. $350-500.
