183. Dec. 7, 1864, Kennard to Lt. Colonel Charles Colcock, …enemy at Sister's Ferry…news Sherman believed around Millen, [Col. Charles Colcock (later general) commanded troops is CS victory at Honey Hill, SC].
184. Dec. 10, 1864, AAG Roy (Headquarter's Savannah) to Kennard - protect the Rail Road Bridge over Savannah River at all hazards.
185. Dec. 11, 1864, Kennard to Hardee - have no fear of enemy taking bridge…can defend against 5 times Sherman's Army…repelled attacks.
