RIFLE. Cal. 223. S# 04599. Bbl. 18". Model 630 semi-automatic rifle mfg. in Germany by Heckler & Koch in 1984 and imported by HK Inc. Left side of bbl. is marked ".223 Rem.", followed by an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof, HK's "IE" (84) date code, and an Ulm Proof House antler. Left side of receiver is marked with HK's mfg. and importer information, followed by the model designation. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood pistol grip Monte Carlo buttstock with schnabel tip forend and black polymer trigger guard. Ramped blade front sight and flip-up square notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 4-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of light oxidation on the bbl., with heavy oxidation and some finish losses present around the rear of the front sight base. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of what appears to be light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: the lifelong collection of Terrance McCarty. (24-361/MLW).
