POLICE CONTRACT HI-POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 36028. bbl. 4 5/8". Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale under contract for the Austrian police. The left side of the slide is marked with FN's mfg. information, with the S# marked on the right below the ejection port. Left side of frame and slide, as well as the right side of the bbl., exhibit Belgian proofs. Front grip strap is marked "LGKK/ 1092" at the toe, indicating issue to the Austrian Landesgendarmeriekommando (State Gendarmerie) of Karnten (Carinthia). Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, which are properly painted red on the interior of the panels. Grooved blade front sight, with fixed square notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 13-rd. mags., both with floorplates stamped with a matching "LHKK/ 1092". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original black factory cardboard box, containing spare mag. Underside of box exhibits a faint handwritten "36015", indicating that this box was just 13 S#s away from the pistol. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, with some scattered superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing, as well as some scattered marks and minor impressions, but otherwise are good overall. Original box shows mild wear to its exterior layer, with some separation at a couple of the corners, as well as a hole that is present on the underside.
