RESTORED PARKER CHE WITH SINGLE TRIGGER AND

BEAVERTAIL FOREND. Cal. 12 Ga. 3". S# 198241. This gun matches most of the specifications as outlined in the identification & serialization ledger with automatic ejectors & single trigger noted. Beavertail forend is not noted. However, the unusually shaped forend on this gun is possibly factory custom ordered, as the bbls. have a reinforced splinter & forend iron has correct type reinforcing screw. The latch is also very flat matching the contour of this forend. The bbls. are listed at 32", but bbls. presently measure 31". Concave matted rib is marked with Parker, Meriden CT, address and "ACME STEEL". Bbl. flats and lumps have all correct markings. Rear of lump is stamped with frame size "2". Typical Parker hammerless action features automatic safety and Parker single selective trigger which is nickel plated. Action is engraved in usual "C" style, with varying size scroll within geometric borders surrounding scenes of dogs on sides (pointer on left, setter on right). Trigger plate is engraved with a scene of a pheasant flying over an open field. "PARKER BROS." is on each side of action. Matching trigger guard has serial number on tang. Parker capped pistol grip buttstock, of slightly crotch figured American walnut, measures 14" over black white line Larry DelGrego pad. Stock features usual checkered side panels, drop points, and fancy pattern checkering at grip. Silver oval on toe line is engraved with scroll and borders around the initials "S.P.". Matching long flat beavertail ejector forend has usual Parker release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS.: Bore Diameter: R: .727", L: .727". Restrictions: R: .010" (IC), L: .016" (MOD). Minimum Wall Thickness: R: .045", L: .046". STOCK: DAH: 1 3/4+". DAC: 1 9/16". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 8 lbs. 12 oz. CONDITION: fine as completely restored most likely by Larry DelGrego; retaining nearly all of his custom applied finishes on wood and metal with some subsequent staining, mostly on bbls. There are few minor marks on finishes. Buttstock has reinforcing screw through side panels. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. Trigger appears to work well. A fairly scarce gun with only about 400 made in all bbl. lengths. (22-965/MGM). CURIO. $2,000-3,500.
