Save the Hunt – Terms & Conditions
Save the Hunt (STH) is organized to fight Colorado’s anti-hunting legislation initiatives generating funds by auctioning items donated by individuals and/or companies.
Any bid made at the STH auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, online or at a silent
auction, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a
higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you
to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone or online bid, authorizes the person who took the bid
to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction. In
the event that the successful bid was made by phone or online, the bid price must be received
before the close of the fifth business day after the close of the auction. For any purchase of more
than $100,000, upon request, all issued check currently dated will not be deposited until the
opening of the sixth business day after the close of the auction.
Any failure of compliance with the provision above will result in the addition of any costs incurred
because of non-compliance, plus the addition of interest at the rate of 1 per month, or portion
thereof, that payment is late. Auction items must be paid for by the close of Convention. Payments
will be taken at the auction payment table during the Ladies Luncheon, Life Member Breakfast, and
all evening auctions. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and
American Express. If the winner of an auction refuses to pay the winning bid price plus any
premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid. If
the next highest bidder declines the item or if the second highest bidder is unknown, the President
shall dispose of the item at his/her discretion.
PERMIT BUYER’S PREMIUM: A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of some special permits/tags (unless prohibited by statute.) THESE ARE NOTED IN RED IN THE AUCTIONDESCRIPTION. Proceeds will be dedicated to fight Colorado’s anti-hunting legislation initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
ONLINE BIDDING: All online bidders will be required to pay a 5% buyer’s premium with a $250 cap.
You will also be asked to provide the following information: Full Name, Email address, Address,
Phone number, Credit card number, which an AVS is completed (Address Verification System) All
purchases over the amount of $10,000 will require a call back from STH Auction Team for
verification.
PAYING WITH CREDIT CARDS: PAYING BY CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 3%
ADMINISTRATION FEE
ABSENTEE BID FORM: If you are bidding on behalf of someone that is not in attendance, you will
have to fill out an Absentee Bid Form which will be provided at the Auction Payment Table (left of
stage) during the banquet auctions.
FIREARMS: Before taking possession of your purchased firearm, the gun must be registered in
compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws. To meet this compliance, STH will ship
the firearm, at the expense of the purchaser, from Colorado to a Federal Firearms License (FFL)
holder of your choice after convention. WSF cannot transfer any firearm at the Convention.
STH AUCTION ITEM POLICY:
All goods in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from
third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by STH, and is
advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection
and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in both the live and silent auctions are sold ‘’AS IS”
with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of STH. STH
provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. WSF does not accept any
liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods
delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be
the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been
acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth
under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by STH. STH
shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or
damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such
services. The purchaser also acknowledges that in the event that services are purchased, STH
cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the
United States. STH cannot be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
STH reserves the right to add items to the auctions as additional donations become available. Only
STH exhibitors may solicit and/ or market to permit buyers or attendees on the expo or auction
floor during our conventions. Solicitation by non-exhibitors violates STH Exhibit policy and is
prohibited.
SILENT AUCTION ITEM SCHEDULE/PAYMENT/PICK-UP

Silent Auction results will be posted at the close of the auction in the Silent Auction Area and on the
Online Hunting Auction web site. Bidding has begun and ends Saturday May 25, 2024 at 1:00
PM. Pick up can be made from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday. Any items(other then
firearms)left in the inventory, either unpaid or uncollected, will be shipped at the purchaser’s
expense. If you do not register your credit card with Online Auctions, you will not be able to pay on
Saturday at the conclusion of the event. Your items will be returned to headquarters and you will be
contacted to make payment for the item plus shipping costs.
