MONOGRAM. Cal. 7x57. S# 132-67298. Sides of receiver have arabesque scroll etched ornamentation surrounding oval vignettes. Vignette on right side has Bill Ruger's "WBR" monogram as designed & hand engraved by Paul Lantuch. Paul Lantuch engraved several firearms for Bill Ruger in the 1980s. Vignette on left side has the Ruger emblem. Bbl. 22" w/ ramp mounted bead front sight & folding lead rear sight on quarter rib. Alexander Henry forearm & pistol grip stock of fine thinshell walnut. Features include steel grip cap, solid red pad, borderless 20 LPI hand checkering & swivel bases. This rare rifle was purchased on a Ruger factory auction. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. detailing the following information, "Model: Ruger No. 1 Light Sporter Rifle / Serial Number: 132-67298 / Caliber: 7x57mm / Testfire Date: July 20, 1984 / Special Features: The rifle was shipped to Southport, CT for W.B. Ruger, Sr. but there are no records that he ever purchased the rifle. Other accessories include original box w/ matching label containing the owner's manual.
