Made in Herstal, Belgium by Browning in 1962, which was the 2nd year of production of this model. 22" blued medium weight, floral breech engraved, sightless, tapered round barrel in rare 264 Winchester Magnum caliber. Blued floral engraved F.N. action with polished bolt, long extractor, two position side safety, and controlled with gold washed serrated trigger. Blued detachable floorplate with gold washed Medallion Grade Ram's Head engraving. Action is fitted with one piece Redfield base and rings. All markings and engraving is gold washed. Light tone walnut single stock bolt Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with right hand cheekpiece, skip-line checkering, and contrasting Rosewood forend and grip cap, and added Pachmayr recoil pad. CONDITION
Overall 92% original factory blue with some oxidation on screws (not from salt). Wood has been refinished with checkering starting to flatten and some small dings and nicks showing. Stock has been professionally cut with recoil pad applied. Good bore and mechanics. Pre-Salt era gun.
