Seldom seen single shot made by Theodore M. Thorsen of Camden, New Jersey circa 1898. Thorsen held several patents of guns including some for locks and an automatic gun. 30" blued octagon barrel 32-40 caliber with Wind gauge front sight and Military Yardage rear sight. Barrel is stamped on top flat "T.M. Thorsen Camden, N.J.". Case-hardened falling block action resembling a Winchester Highwall with plain trigger and lever. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with steel shotgun butt plate and plain walnut splinter forearm with Schnabel tip. Rare gun. J.T. Livengood Collection. CALIBER: 32-40. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Overall good with barrel turning plum. Action shows some remaining case colors with some discoloration. Stocks show traces of original varnish with usage dings and marks. Bore is dark with pitting. Mechanics are good with hammer not holding when lever is cocked.
