SN: 497357 WWII era U.S. military recoil operated semi-automatic combat shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" or shorter 12 gauge shells, manufactured circa 1943. Features a blued "MILITARY FINISH", 26" cylinder bore barrel marked "IMP CYL", raised silver bead front sight. 1/2 length tube magazine, push button safety, smooth trigger, serrated charging handle. Marked "US" with 'flaming bomb' emblem on left of receiver and top of barrel, stamped "FJA" left side of stock at wrist. Bore is very good. Bluing has turned to brownish-gray or to patina over most of the metal, with bare metal showing at all sharp edges and bottom of receiver hump. Magazine cap is silvery gray with signs of light rust. Handguard has several long cracks along left side, and has a previous break on the right side repaired with glue; the pieces are glued out of alignment and some wood is missing altogether. Stock is missing significant wood on sides of top tang. Stock and handguard have numerous gouges and dents. Dark brown Remington buttplate is in good condition. Condition is NRA Fair ***C&R Firearm***
