.45 ACP Caliber, 5" Barrel, S/N: 1349370. Remington Rand marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" to the right of the slide stop pin.  Late WWII parts such as the knurled trigger, narrow checkered hammer spur, serrated slide stop and thumb safety. Fitted with a blued High Standard barrel that is marked with a single "P" and "HS" on each side of the lug. Marked with a "FJA" inspector's mark of Frank J. Atwood. "P" proofmark is located near the magazine release, and on top of the slide in front of the rear sight. Cross cannons ordnance mark on the right rear of the frame, to the right of the hammer pin. Grips are original and in great shape with reinforced rings and molded "K" five pointed star. The correct Keyes Fibre Co. grips for this gun. **In very good condition with exception. Parkerized finish is in excellent shape except for one Black painted mark on the top front of the slide behind the front sight (could have been done by the G.I. for various reasons possibly for shading sunlight while sighting the pistol for target), also there is no "dummy mark scratch" from field stripping.** $1,500-$2,500
