Remington Rolling block rifle, .50-70 caliber, 36” barrel, wood stock, leather sling, no visible S/N, in overall good condition with a good bore, crisp action and generally good wood displaying scattered oldmars and scratches from carry and storage; “23” stamped on left side of barrel at breech; “11” stamped on left side of receiver and “48/H” stamped on top of butt plate; visible inspector’s cartouche on left side of butt stock at rear tang; possibly a militia gun like New York.
