Royal Crested Jaegar. .60 caliber, 28” octagonal barrel. Brown and case hardened finish, double set triggers (working at time of description). Sling swivels, horn tipped wood ramrod, brass mountings with intricately raised carved full-length stock and fancy sliding wood patchbox cover. This beautiful work of early European craftsmanship is in overall very good + condition showing the majority of its original brown finish on the barrel and some original case colors on the lockplate. The action is crisp, the markings on the top barrel flat are inlaid in silver and the raised carving can only be described as exquisite including two game scenes on the left side of the butt stock. Most of the brass mountings are finely engraved in a floral style with the patchbox cover being particularly fancy with the inclusion of an inlaid four-point design of ebony and ivory. The stock itself is in overall very good condition with the exception of a couple scattered old small cracks and losses around the front of the lockplate.
