Rare authentic Ruger square back brass grip frame. If you look under the right grip, you will see the casting mark MR3-DB that authenticates it. The casting mark is located near the grip alignment pin. Brass grip frames were shipped on ROAs from 1972 to 1973. There were approx. 1100 originally made with brass grip frame. Manufactured 1973. Single action black powder percussion revolver, second year of production. Barrel has single line address, no warning disclaimer. Features blued steel steel construction, 7.5" barrel, loading lever, raised serrated ramp front sight, factory adjustable rear sight, serrated trigger, serrated hammer spur, non-fluted cylinder with safety stops, three-screw steel frame, two-piece smooth wood grips with Ruger medallions. Bore and charge holes are excellent/bright, retains about 90% with minor muzzle/edge wear, some friction wear on the plunger, minor scratches, tracking on the cylinder and some scratches in the loading gate, I assume from caps. Grips are very good. Action is smooth with tight lock-up.
Condition is NRA Very Good. Antique Firearm.
