REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# 79. Bbl. 6 1/2" pinned having company markings on top; no markings on sides. Integral 1/2 moon front sight blade; U notched rear sight. Mfg. 1899 (1899-1902) with round butt K frame; Civilian model as Army-Navy models had 6" barrels plus additional military markings. Matching numbers on barrel, frame and cylinder; unmarked extractor. Real pearl Service style grips; no medallions. Case colored smooth faced trigger and hammer with finely checkered spur. Often referred to as "pre 5 screw" with 4 screw side plate and no locking lug on barrel. CONDITION: fair to good non-factory refinish with light scratches mainly on barrel plus slight cylinder turn line. Very good case colors. Near excellent bore and grips. Fine mechanics and timing.
