REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# 207820. Bbl. 6" pinned having company markings on top plus caliber on left side. Integral sight base with Patridge blade; frame contoured adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1909-1915 (shipped March 5, 1915 per April 9, 1970 S&W letter) with square butt 5 screw K frame. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, cylinder and extractor; unmarked checkered walnut service style grips with diamond centers (no medallions). Case colored smooth faced trigger and hammer with finely checkered spur. Butt has rework star stamped after serial number plus 2 rework dates on left side of frame under grip; "8.19" and "2.20". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1970 letter and postmarked envelope from S&W historian Roy Jinks telling the model and its shipping date. CONDITION: very good with factory quality refinish having light marks throughout to include function wear, slight thinning at muzzle plus high edges, some light scratches, and faint cylinder turn line. Good case colors with thinning and function wear. Near excellent bore. Generally good grips with marks, improper screw bushing on right grip plus incorrect poor grip screw. Fine mechanical functioning with near excellent timing. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-49/NW). CURIO. $500-750.
