22 TRAINING BOLT ACTION SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 120385. Bbl. 26 3/8". Early German 22 training rifle by Simson & Co., Suhl. Marked “SA” on right side of buttstock, indicating use by the German SA (Sturm Abteilung) for military training. S#’s match on bbl. & bolt. Receiver marked on top “Mod. W625A” & Simson logo. Bbl. marked on top “FLUSS-STAHL KRUPP-ESSEN”. Marked on side “KAL. 22 LONG RIFLE”. Markings partially enhanced in white. Bolt cocks on opening. Early oval loading port. Safety is integral to rear of bolt. Tangent rear sight graduated to 200m. Inverted V ramp front sight. Milled trigger guard. Stacking rod is present. Walnut stock & handguard. Stock made w/ grasping grooves. Buttstock is mortised for side sling, lower band does not have sling loop. CONDITION: stock has worn original finish w/ sm. scratches & handling marks throughout while retaining attractive appearance. 60% Original blue finish turning gray, notably on receiver w/ areas of light wear & fine oxidation.
