SCARCE KOREAN WAR CONVERTED TYPE 99 ARISAKA BOLT
ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 US (30-06). S# 77757. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Aperture rear sight, graduated to 1500m with AA wings. Rear sight base screw is missing. Scarce early configuration Type 99 Arisaka converted to 30-06 for use by South Korean forces during the Korean War. Receiver is notched for 30-06 round. Mismatched numbers throughout. Top of receiver has ground mum and Type 99 characters. Left side of the receiver has "US CAL 30", second series, and Nagoya markings, all with highlight paint. Dull arsenal-blue finish. Asian hardwood stock set with two-piece butt and left side sling configuration. No cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: stock set shows scattered dings, staining, and handling wear. Metal retains 60% of its arsenal rework blue with scattered fading to gray, oxidation, and some blued-over pitting. Action functions properly when hand-cycled.
