DISPLAY BOARD. Open dimensions: 50 3/4" x 36 1/4". Left panel is titled "PETERS CENTERFIRE CARTRIDGES". The 34 rifle cartridges displayed vary in size from the 22 Hornet up to the 45-70 including a wide variety of calibers & proprietary brands. The 2nd section is titled "BULLET CONSTRUCTIONS" and shows inner-belted & conventional style bullets. A cutaway cartridge diagram is labeled with parts identification & nomenclature. Third section is titled "PISTOL & REVOLVER", it displays 28 handgun cartridges ranging from the 25 Auto to the 45 Auto with Police Match Wadcutter bullet. Below that is a display of bullet types including lead, wadcutter, metal case & metal penetrating styles. Following is a cutaway revolver cartridge diagram with nomenclature labeling. Right panel is labeled "PETERS / SHOTGUN SHELLS / HIGH VELOCITY". 23 Paper shotshells in gauges 410 to 10 Ga. displayed along with rifled slugs in 12, 16, 20, 28 & 410. Cutaway shot shell diagram show parts nomenclature. The lower portion is titled "RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES". Style shown are high velocity, standard velocity and match. 15 Cartridges are displayed ranging from 22 Short to 25 Stevens as well as 32 Short & 32 Long. A rimfire cartridge cutaway is labeled with appropriate nomenclature. Bottom of both sections have blue oval marking "DUPONT" followed by "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.". Upper right corner of right portion exterior is stamped "PROPERTY / REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. / BRIDGEPORT CONN.". The 2 display panels are connected by a metal hinge with iron latches & brass handle rings. Many of the cartridges were produced in the 1936-1956 time period giving a clue to the board's age. CONDITION: Both interior sections are in very good clean condition. Some displays show evidence of reattachment with some labels are missing or changed. Exterior shows age related wear & handling marks. (02-18190/DS). $10,000-15,000.
