SOUTH DAKOTA PHEASANT HUNT
Pollock, South Dakota:
3 Days / 4 Nights South Dakota Pheasant Hunt for 2 hunters.
We invite you to the land of South Dakota, situated in the Missouri River Plateau. We are located roughly an hour and twenty minutes south of Bismark, ND. Experience great upland pheasant hunts over dogs in the perfect habitat. Stay with us on sight with hearty northern meals and plenty of after-the-hunt beverages. No need to awake before dawn on this hunt, we will be hunting 5 minutes from our lodging and we give the birds some time to wake up while we have breakfast and coffee. We hunt 800 acres of private reserve that is loaded with wild birds and supplemented as needed. We also have 4500 additional acres of private wild free ranging pheasant habitat! Your hunt can be a combination of free ranging (up to 3 birds in season) and reserve pheasants (up to 2-5 birds) with a total of up to 5 birds per person/per day. Guides and dogs are provided but you are welcome to bring your own bird dog if you would like!
Included:
• Accommodations in a Lodging House with all “family style” meals and beverages (double occupancy).
• Bag limit of 5 pheasants per day, per hunter (this can be a mixed bag of both wild and released birds).
• Professional Guides and Dogs.
• Bird cleaning and transportation during the hunt.
Trip Dates: August through November, 2024 or 2025.
Hunt Arrival and Departure Point: Bismarck, ND
Transportation During Hunt: Foot and vehicle.
Weapons: Shotgun (shotgun rental with unlimited ammunition at $250 per hunter).
Not Included:
• Non-Resident Hunting License (approx. $150 per person).
• Transportation to and from Pollock.
• Accommodations before or after the hunt.
Additional hunters are welcome (at $2,995 per hunter).
Additional Pheasants can be added to this hunt (5 - $175, 10- $325, 15- $450, 25 - $675, 100-$2500).
This hunt can be upgraded with an Archery Whitetail and Mule Deer hunt in October ($2,000 per hunter). Over the counter tags available, (license fee $220 per hunter).
Trip Donations to the same location are limited to one donation per buyer. Multiple donations
cannot be used towards the same trip from the same buyer.

“AUCTION - RAFFLES RULES and CONDITIONS”
1. BIDDERS AND RAFFLE PARTICIPANTS:
• It is the responsibility of all Bidders and Raffle Ticket purchasers to read and understand both the Live and Silent Auction Conditions and Disclaimers along with the Raffle Procedures and Conditions stated in the Auction Program and posted on the Raffle Tables.
2. WINNERS OF RAFFLES AND / OR AUCTION ITEM:
• The SCI Northeast Wisconsin Chapter (Chapter) must report all raffle winnings of $600.00 or more to the IRS on Form WG2 Miscellaneous Income. In order to claim your prize, a “Prize Claim Receipt” and / or a “Firearms Transaction Record”, must be completed with your name, address, social security number and other required information.
• All Raffle and Auction transactions are subject to all Local, State, Federal and International laws and can be subject to age requirements.
3. PAYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF ITEMS:
• Payment for all items must be made the day of purchase.
• There will be a 3% service charge on all credit card payments made on auction items at this event.
• There will be an 8% Auction Premium charged on all Online Auction sales.
• All non-hunt items must be picked up the day of sale or raffle. Items or hunts left in Chapter’s inventory, either unpaid or uncollected, will be deemed ‘no sale’ or ‘uncollected’ item and hunts subject to Chapter's disposal at will.
4. ITEMS:
• Packing and/or transportation of all items is completely independent of Chapter and are the sole responsibilities of purchaser or raffle item winner. Chapter assumes no responsibility for any damage or loss that may occur during packing or transportation.
• Items may be removed only after paying for them and completing the “Prize Claim Receipt” and/or a “Firearms Transaction Record”, as required.
5. BIDDING PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:
• All items are auctioned or raffled ‘as is’. The Chapter does not make or express any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the item or hunt’s description, genuineness, attributions, provenance, or condition. Any warranties with respect to items or trips are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacturer or donor.
• The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In case of dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder.
• After each item’s sale, the successful bidder will be given a ‘Buyer’s Agreement’ for signature. For silent auctions, the ‘Silent Auction Bid Sheet’ is considered a Buyer’s Agreement to purchase the indicated item. All Buyer’s Agreement signatures are legal and binding.
• All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.
• The Chapter does not guarantee the satisfaction to either donor or purchaser.
• It is purchaser’s responsibility to contact hunt or trip donor immediately and make all arrangements for hunt or trip and the application of necessary paperwork for licenses, visas, passports and permits.
• The Chapter reserves the right to withdraw any donated hunt or item from auction that does not receive its minimum bid.
• The Chapter reserves the right to add, delete, modify or change any offering or offerings prior to the auction.
• The Chapter is a 501(c) (4) corporation and donations may not be tax deductible.
6. SILENT AUCTION RULES:
• Silent Auction Bidding will close promptly at a predetermined time post on the Silent Auction Tables.
• When there is 2 minutes left to the Silent Auction an Official will announce it and tell anyone standing directly near an auction item to bid and stand back!
• Auction Officials will disqualify the bid of any person who attempts to block any other bidder. If a person’s bid is disqualified, the bid of the next person immediately preceding it will be honored.
• In the event of a dispute, the Auction Official shall have the final authority to determine the winning bidder.
• If the Auction Official determines that more than one person is still actively pursuing an item at closing, each active bidder will be allowed to go back to the end of the line and continue bidding until no one is still in line.
• The highest bidder will be the winner of that item.
7. SPECIAL NOTES TO REMEMBER:
• African and International Hunts: If you are interested in bidding on an African Safari or International Hunt / Trip and are unfamiliar with the daily fee / trophy fee system outfitters use, please talk to an SCI member who has been there or one of the outfitters prior to the auction to make sure you understand what is and what is not included in the donation.
• All Hunts: Unless otherwise stated, assume that the license / tag fees and taxes are not included in the donations. Also, unless stated, it is the hunter’s responsibility to apply for and secure licenses, confirm dates with the outfitter and take the hunt / trip for the time period listed in the description of the donation. Unless otherwise stated all monies stated in descriptions are in US dollars. It is also assumed that transportation to and from hunting location is not included in the donation along with any before or after lodging and meals.
• Donation Bundling: Donated Hunts and Trips should not be combined with other donated Hunts and Trips and are meant for first time clients.
• Trip Insurance: The SCI Northeast Wisconsin Chapter strongly recommends that all Hunters and Travelers purchase Trip Insurance and understand what is and what is not covered by the policy they purchased.
