PARATROOP CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 605504. Bbl. 18" marked behind front sight “INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS 6-43”. Flip type rear sight marked “S” on left side. Sight dovetail has stake marks visible on right side. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Sight base marked “N” for Neidner Rifle Company. These highly desirable carbines that retain most of their original features are highly sought after as so many originals were mismatched & refinished during rebuild programs. Unmarked early narrow bbl. band w/ wide swivel aperture. Straight cut slide marked “PI”. Flat blued bolt marked “AI”. Milled Inland trigger housing. Smooth push-button safety. Mag. catch marked “EI”. Dogleg hammer marked “HI”. High wood walnut stock set w/ correct milled stock relief on left side. Stock is marked at rear w/ encircled “P” proof. Folding stock assembly is original including leather pad & rivets. Markings at end of pistol grip are not visible. 2-rivet handguard w/ shallow groove marked “IO”. Faded green web sling. MAGS: 1 15-rd marked “UI”. CONDITION: stock set has nice original finish. Forend has crack running from the recoil plate forward to the milled relief cut. Original leather cheek pad w/ moderate wear & scuffing. Metal has 80% original Parkerized finish w/ thinning & light wear. Very good shiny bore.
