Alfonso Fabres of Huntinspain has donated a trophy Red Stag or Fallow Deer or Mouflon Sheep or Roe Deer bow or gun hunt in Spain for one hunter to be taken in the 2022-2023 season. The number of days for this hunt is unlimited. However, the hunt is over if the trophy is collected or wounded or if three reasonable chances are missed. Of course, all other Spanish game in the area will also be available including 2 subspecies of Chamois and 4 subspecies of Ibex per the price list in case the hunter wants to upgrade the hunt. Accommodations for this hunt are unique: an 18th century lodge which has been refurnished with all modern facilities. It is based in one of Spain’s oldest bull fighting ranches, where you will be able to see and take pictures of these free, impressive, and beautiful animals in the wild, and if you enjoy a challenge, you are welcome to fight one of them. If you are keen on culture and tradition, you will enjoy visiting Salamanca. This city is one of the best examples of Romanic and Gothic Art in the world. It is full of Roman bridges, cathedrals, castles, and monasteries. A tour of Salamanca is highly recommended if you come with a companion on this trip. Salamanca was elected the European capital of Culture in 2002. INCLUDED: hunting permit tag; trophy fee even up to gold medal; full accommodations; transportation; 1x1 professional hunting guide; and red fox, if seen during the hunt. NOT INCLUDED: hotels while in Madrid; hunting license & insurance $290; export permit & veterinary certificate $200 per trophy; extra daily rates while hunting other species; non-hunting companion $250/day; and 21% VAT. Alfonso Fabres has a doctorate degree in Architecture and Urbanism. He has been in the outfitting business for 30+ years. He is Vice-President of Spain’s Hunting and Tourism Association, is a member of the Board of Directors in Castilla-Leon State for hunting resources and is a Director of the Spanish Professional Hunters Association. He has also won the Spanish Award from the Spanish Hunting Federation. He was the guide to the King of Spain when the King two different times took the then all-time world record Spanish Ibex.

Different hunts include or specify different things such as meals, lodging, transportation, weapon type (rifle bow, etc.), available dates etc. Please read all descriptions carefully and ask any questions you have. As a general rule licenses are not included. Some hunts may also have a VAT or GST tax. All stated auction values listed in the description are set by the respective donors. Extras such as license fees unless otherwise stated are in U.S. dollars.
If you buy a hunt at our auction that the donor fails to provide for you, through no fault of our own, we will make arrangements for a replacement hunt or we will issue you a credit. If you simply find it inconvenient to go on the dates specified, or change your mind for some other reason, then it is to be negotiated between you and the donor/outfitter.
SCI Detroit does it’s best to solicit donated hunts only from competent outfitters. However, we do not guarantee the quality or success of any hunt purchased at this auction. All of this said, it is important to note that bunts bought at our auction generally go well , with both the donor and buyer being well satisfied .
Any and all modifications and/or amendments made between the purchaser , and/or those acting on his/her behalf, and the outfitter, whether before or after the purchase of an auction item, from that described in the auction description , are deemed to be new contracts between the above parties and not Safari Club International - Detroit Chapter. If there are any issues or concerns regarding the outfitters ability or willingness to fulfill his obligation as advertised in the auction description, it is the purchaser's duty, to immediately notify, in writing, the Board of Directors of Safari Club International - Detroit Chapter of said issues or concerns, in order for the board to address the same. Should the purchaser choose to proceed, absent providing proper notification, it is presumed that the purchaser is completely satisfied. Any and all hunting, fishing, memberships, tours or events purchased at the Detroit Chapter SCI are not transferable by the purchaser to any other person, persons or organizations and must be utilized by the purchaser. SCI Detroit reserves the right to modify, alter or change the contents or conditions for any or all live auction items. By bidding, the bidders agree to these conditions and hold harmless the SCI Detroit Chapter.
Upgrading your hunt, while not required, is certainly appreciated by our donors. If you do not want to add another animal, consider bringing along a friend. This really helps out these outfitters and hunting companies that are trying to help us! With few exceptions, these donors are not weal thy individuals, but rather they donate to help wildlife, ensure the future of our sport, and generate new business for themselves. Please do what you can to help out.
As usual, an auction item goes to the highest bidder. Even though “spotters" are located around the room, it is the bidder’s responsibility to make their bid noticed, so don 't be shy! Feel free to speak up, stand up, or wave to get the auctioneer's attention. If a final bid for the same amount is taken from two people, the bidding is closed to everyone else except those two people.
All signatures on auction invoices are binding. Please make sure that any changes or additions to the printed description of an item that takes place during the actual auction are recorded on the auction invoice before you sign and pay for it.
All auction sales must be finalized by the end of the night. To finalize the sale, the auction runner can take your payment, or you can go to the cashier's booth located next to the auction podium . Cash, checks, VISA, Master Card, and American Express are accepted. You may pick up your auction merchandise in the Live Auction area with your validated receipt.
On-line bids are being accepted this year. There will be a buyer’s premium added to the amount of the winning bid. This goes to the on-line Auction company. The buyer’s premium is 5% of sale price up to a maximum of $250.
Also, please report the results of your hunt on the form included.
