PISTOL. ALL: cal. 22 RF. Bbls. 6" oct. to rnd. Approx. 1,000 were mfg. 1869-1886. An estimated 25,000 Diamond 43s were mfg. 1886-1896. 1) SIX INCH POCKET RIFLE. S# 978. Nickel finished brass frame w/ spur trigger, sideplate, straight style release button & firing pin on hammer. Blued bbl. w/ globe front sight & elevation adj. rear peep sight. 2 Piece rosewood grips. CONDITION: frame is cleaned exposing lightly tarnished brass. Bbl. blue has faded to mottled gray brown w/ areas of light pitting. Grips have dark worn appearance showing handling marks w/ chips at toe. Dark bore w/ light pitting & largely intact rifling. (01-17010/DS). 2) SIX INCH POCKET RIFLE. S# 20821. Silver finished action w/ sideplate, spur trigger, straight style release button & firing pin on hammer. Blued bbl. w/ globe front & elevator adj. rear peep sight. 2 Piece rosewood grips. CONDITION: frame retains over 70% silver finish having acquired a dark tarnish. Bbl. retains 60% lightly faded blue w/ area of cleaning & pitting along left side. Grips have lightly worn original finish showing handling marks. Bore has largely intact rifling showing scattered spots of pitting. (01-17011/DS). 3) DIAMOND No. 43 FIRST ISSUE PISTOL. S# 22. Scarce early variation w/ firing pin on hammer. Action has nickel finish w/ sideplate, straight style release button & spur trigger. Elevation adj. open rear sight w/ blade front sight. Extended style 2 piece walnut grips. S# on bbl. & frame match. CONDITION: frame retains over 75% nickel showing scratches w/ series of heavy dents behind hammer. Bbl. finish is faded to gray w/ spots of pitting & numerous sm. dents. Grips show wear, handling marks w/ area of discoloration on right panel. Extractor spring is gone. Dark pitted bore w/ little remaining rifling. (01-17043/DS). ALL ANTIQUE. $500-900.
