SUPER RARE SWISS 1906 “E.” PREFIX, CROSS IN

SHIELD LUGER, HOLSTER.
Cal. 7.65mm Luger. S# E.777. Switzerland assembled very, very few E. Prefix M1906 Lugers, referenced in the classic book by Geoff Sturgess, Vol. 1, page 551, with estimated production of just 20 pistols in the range E765-E785. Standard configuration M1906 with 4.75” bbl., drift adjustable front sight and “V” notch rear sight. Cross in Shield over chamber and DWM on middle toggle link. “E.777” on front of frame and under barrel, the last 2 or 3 digits repeated on all the usual small parts (takedown lever is unnumbered) and both grips. Major components blued as are the takedown lever, magazine release, and trigger. Strawed safety lever and ejector. MAGS: near excellent original military with wood plug/metallic discs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: VG+ holster with small separation at lid, no noticeable repairs with added pouch and strap, manufacturer marked and dated “1906” on obverse surface. Consignor tagged the holster “E.623,” that would correspond to a M1900 Instructional pistol. CONDITION: approximately 90-95% as arsenal reworked with several blued small parts. Comparable condition grips with the right panel having a compression indentation behind the magazine release. Discreetly import marked using a fine laser etching method in an unobtrusive area. Near mirror bore and near excellent manual mechanics. Consigner states it was an instructional pistol used in the Canton of Thun; an incredibly rare Luger by any metric! PROVENANCE: From the esteemed collection of Paul Regnier, Switzerland. (20-1419/LA). CURIO. $5,500-6,500.
