Scarce variation of Colt 1851 Navy revolver with small iron guard, .36 cal. percussion, S/N 40960. New York address. In very good plus original condition showing 50% thinning blue on the BBL and 10%-20% case hardening drifted to silver with hints of colors. 60%-70% scene with Ornsby signature. Very good grips. All matching. From award winning Navy collector’s estate Larry Price who stated in his display less than 12 known to Colt Navy collectors. A fact we cannot verify but Little John states he had only seen five or six in forty years with a small iron guard (One engraved). Es.: $3000-$4000
