Caliber: 45/110, 45 caliber bullet, 110 grains of black powder.

Action Type: Single-Shot Breech-Loading Rifle

Markings: The top of the barrel is marked Old Reliable in oval in front of the rear
sight and C. SHARPS ARMS CO. INC. - CALIBRE 45 2 1/10 behind.
The left of the receiver is marked C. SHARPS ARMS CO. BIG TIMBER MONTANA
the tang behind breech is stamped 7271 .

Barrel Length: 34 inch, Octagonal

Sights : The front sight is a globe-style sight dovetailed to the front of the
barrel. The top tang is drilled and tapped with a folding tang sight installed which is
adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece walnut with a pewter
nosecap to fore grip, straight comb with shadow line cheekpiece and there is a leather
cap that someone has glued to the wood to form a butt pad..No very well done.
There are numerous dents and nicks to the wood all over.

On right hand side of stock are 2 brass plates installed - one with Caliber and the other
with SOGGY Won by Jim George (etc - see photos)
There are no cracks.
The LOP measures 14 inch from the front of the SET trigger to the back of the buttplate.

Type of Finish: Blue & Case Color

Bore Condition: The bore is good, the rifling is evident.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish.
There is infrequent very minor operational wear and light handling marks.
The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots.
The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a safety-notch position.
The lever locks up tight. The trigger is crisp. A through cleaning may be necessary to
meet your maintenance standards.

Christian Sharps introduced one of America’s first and most successful breech-
loading rifles with design starting in 1850 and improvements continuing into the
1870s and the metallic cartridge era.

This rifle is a very high quality reproduction of the 1875 Rifle model, a rifle which was
purpose-built for use with metallic cartridges, rather than built off the earlier
percussion frame. It is breech-loaded with a falling block and chambered for
Calibre 45 2 1/10 also known as .45-70 Govt.
