Shilo-Sharps Model 1874 single shot rifle, .45-70 caliber, Serial #B546. The rifle is in fine to nearly excellent overall condition with a 30” medium weight octagon barrel with a German silver blade front and ladder style rear sights. The barrel retains 96-97% of the matte blue finish with sharp edges and markings. The receiver is nicely case hardened with vivid color and marked, “SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. BIG TIMBER, MONTANA” on theleft side and double set triggers. The smooth wood stock is in very good condition with a Schnabel fore end. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel butt plate with nice case colors, providing a 13 ¾” LOP to thefront trigger. The bore is excellent and the action is crisp on this lightly used Shilo-Sharps in the venerable .45-70 chambering without the normal three year wait. Est.: $1,000-$2,000. (Modern).
