Early, high quality reproduction of the Sharps Rifle Company Model 1874 falling block single shot sporting rifle. Manufactured in Farmingdale, NY circa 1976-1983. Features a blued 30" heavy part-octagon barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, mid-range vernier tang sight (provided but not installed, no hardware), double set triggers, case hardened receiver, knurled hammer spur, smooth semi-fancy walnut forend with ornate pewter tip, semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with right handed shadow line cheek piece & checkered black synthetic buttplate. Markings: Barrel is stamped on the underside “9774” & “40 70”. The receiver is stamped “SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO./FARMINGDALE, N.Y.” & “3131”. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original finish with the majority of the wear on the lever and lower tang. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is pristine and the wood stocks are fine with minor losses & a couple ¼” hairline cracks extending from the sideplate.
Condition is near NRA Excellent.
