Ken Robins has donated this highly sought-after moose species hunt that will take place in the Kootenay Region of British Columbia with one of BC’s most experienced outfitters! Accommodations on Whatshan Lake include a cozy, heated cabin and home-cooked meals. This (8) day hunt will take place October 2026 or 2027, with 2026 being a rifle hunt only and 2027 the option of bow or rifle. An opportunity at a moose scoring 135-170” P&Y / B&C can be expected on this hunt. Transportation is to be conducted by glassing and spotting from roads via pickup truck or ATV, with roughly 50% of the hunt to be spent on foot. Some days will involve a lot of hiking, and if the moose happen to be in the high country, being in good physical condition is a plus on this hunt! Because of Whatshan’s reputation and success rates, their guided moose hunts generally stay fully booked. Only four moose hunters max are taken per season, and many bull moose can be expected to be spotted on this hunt as Ken’s harvest rates have little effect on the population.
