Whatshan Guides & Outfitters is owned and operated by Ken & Lorette Robins. For over 25 years, hunting outfitter Ken Robins has dedicated all his efforts to the outfitting industry and his guiding business. This has been a family run operation since 1983 and their son Matt has followed his father footsteps and spends a majority of his time guiding hunters from around the globe.
Whatshan Guides & Outfitters has the exclusive right to guide non-resident hunters within the boundaries of their 1600 square mile guide area in the West Kootenay Region of B.C.
The Moose rifle hunts start in mid-October thru to middle of November. This one-on-one spot and stock shiras moose hunt will take you 5000 feet in elevation to moose habitat with old cut blocks. Your hunt can be upgraded to include a deer and/or wolf with special arrangement made with the outfitter.
Fees not included are licences, tags, royalties, and Hunter Preservation Fund. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for $200. Additional hunters can join you for $7,000 and a non-hunting companion for $200 per day.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
GOABC reserves the right to alter, delete or modify any of the items described in this profile. Final descriptions and lists of items will be available prior to the auction. Pictures shown depict the outfitters game where ever possible.
GOABC reserves the right of refusal on any trip that does not meet 50% of the market value.
